This story isn’t yet complete, but it is full of twists and turns and a whole lot of steam. The roommate and little sister are side characters. This book is technically a spin-off of My Brother’s Roommate. It’s short, full of angst and steam with a HEA. TONS of sneaking around (pretty sure they have an exhibition kink). Steamy things happened between the little sister and the roommate. Little sister and roommate find each other hot. This book is what it sounds like: brother comes home from college with his roommate. Check out any of Oli’s books and you won’t be disappointed in the steam. Genius is my least favorite plot of Oli’s books so far, but contains some of my favorite sex scenes he has written. While overall I wasn’t a huge fan of the plot of this (nor did I find the rep of the Black character to be done well at all imo), the sex scenes were FIRE. Genius is like Good Will Hunting but with a twist. Any of his books will have steam, steam, and MORE steam.

I’ve read three books by TheBiblicalSinner so far: Genius, Alexander (book one in the series and a friend-to-lovers romance with plenty of steam), and Detective (a Sherlock-style book that is super funny and pretty steamy). Technically this is the second book in the series, but it is only loosely connected to the first book.
So make sure the content matter is something you feel comfortable reading before you start. The book does included humiliation play, pain play, fear play, blood play, knife play, bondage, and more. The story does address some internal/external shame/judgement for liking these kinks, but it is handled well. It takes the book a bit to find it’s grove, but once it does the steamy scenes are great. This book follows a masochist and sadist who eventually fall in love. There was one plotline that was milked a bit for drama, but overall I loved this story so much. The conflicts that do occur in the book are great. And while that is fine and I’m sure some do exit the industry after love, we need stories that also show someone staying in the industry and navigating what it is like to date someone who’s profession is to have sex with other people. Oftentimes when someone writes a book about a porn star, the porn star quits their job after finding love. Additionally the porn star doesn’t give up his profession just because he is dating someone. It handles the stigma that comes with being a porn star and NEVER shames the love interest for being one. This is one of the best books I have read EVER about the porn industry.
